Anyone who watched one of Rafael Nadal’s matches at this year’s Wimbledon saw something that has never been seen in professional tennis; he wore a watch during play. Now while this may not seem like anything crazy to a non-player, to anyone who knows the game this new addition to his wardrobe could certainly affect his play. The added weight of any normal sports watch could affect not only his toss, but his backhand as well. So one knew the watch must be extremely light. We now know that this watch was not only shockingly light, but also shockingly expensive.

We’re generally fans of GQ here at FreddieBlack, but sometimes we ask ourselves what the hell they’re thinking. One such occasion came when we were flipping through this month’s issue with the Taylor Lautner cover and came across their swim trunks feature. Not only did the suits highlighted border on Dolce&Gabanna/ Calvin Klein ad homoeroticism, but it is also is clear that anyone in lesser physical shape than Mehcad Brooks would look completely foolish in most of the trunks. So Freddie decided to show you a few of his favorites and we’re sure there is something in here for everyone.

There may only be one of Keith’s magical skull rings in existence and there is certainly only one Keith, but now you can get the closest possible thing to the genuine article. This month’s DVD release of the Chicago-loving, gun-wielding, historically inaccurate Public Enemies got us thinking, and got us a phone call from Freddie. “Those hats are from Optimo,” he said. Knowing that director Michael Mann was an accuracy buff (interesting, considering there were more than a few falsities in the story), Freddie knew the hats were made in Chicago, probably at the closest source to where Dillinger would have gotten his. This means only one name, Optimo Fine Hats.

Jeans are like nipples; everyone’s got a pair. The only problem is that in today’s high-fashion world, finding a good pair jeans is harder than finding a parking spot in Manhattan.
