When one thinks of hotels in Los Angeles, they no doubt imagine the gorgeous Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons and Sunset’s green and pink historic Beverly Hills Hotel. While everyone should call each of these greats home at least once, they are certainly not going to keep your pocketbook full, and often have a bit of a nose-in-the-air attitude. When we suggest places for friends to stay or splurge on a room for the night instead of driving home, we like to check into some of LA’s best smaller hotels, where service is topnotch and prices aren’t quite as shocking. Here are five of our favorites.

If you think you have grown out of your spring break fascination and still want to take a trip across the border, my suggestion to you is Playa Del Carmen. Nothing beats a city that parties non-stop. When your done dancing the night away and hooking up with random chicas at the bar; you’re going to want to continue looking at beautiful babes on the whitest sandy beach. Listening to the djs spin, you may even rest your head down for a light siesta, but don’t worry we wont hold it against you.
